Multi-Cultural & Community Affairs
The Division of Multi-Cultural & Community Affairs is an integral part of the City of Paterson's Economic Development Department. Our mission is to encourage the importance of understanding one another through mutual respect; firmly believing that the strength and economic future of the First Planned Industrial City is its people.
The Division proudly has participated and organized events such as: Paterson Great Falls Festival, 4th of July/Independence Day, African-American, African heritage and Black History, National Night-Out a national event that the city was proud to participate by having block-parties throughout the many diverse neighborhoods to encourage neighbor solidarity, 9/11 Memorial Service and the annual Tree-Lighting ceremony where kids of all ages had the chance to take photos with Santa Claus and the chance to win prices! As well as proudly supporting and representing the many cultures within the City of Paterson. Flag-Raising ceremonies for Bangladesh, Colombia, Costa-Rica, Italy, Haiti, Palestine, Puerto Rico and Parades such as the Dominican, Turkish and Peruvian.
