The Armory (Currently)
The building was constructed in 1985 and served as one of New Jersey's major National Guard facilities. The Armory is situated on an approximate 1.21 acre site located in an area of the City classified as the fifth Ward Redevelopment Area. It is situated close to the geographical center of the City. It is surrounded by the Bunker Hill Neighborhood, which consists largely of nineteenth century, one and two family dwellings. Aside from the three-story building, these residential dwellings typify the image and character of the neighorhood.
