🚨 Extreme Heat Advisory 🚨
Paterson residents please be advised that temperatures are expected to reach the high 90’s beginning Monday July 15, 2024 through Wednesday July 17, 2024. Please drink plenty of water to stay hydrated, wear light clothing, avoid doing strenuous outdoor activities, avoid prolonged exposure to the sun and stay in a cool area.
The Paterson Free Public Libraries will be allowing residents to cool off inside of their facilities located below during their normal business hours. Water will be available.
- Paterson Free Public Library 250 Broadway 9AM-5PM
- Northside Public Library 60 Temple Street 9AM-4PM
- Southside Public Library 930 Main Street 9AM-2PM reopens 3PM to 5PM
Always remember NEVER LEAVE CHILDREN AND ANIMALS IN A HOT CAR. This can be very dangerous and even fatal. If you begin to feel ill or show signs of heat exhaustion call 911 immediately. Be sure to check on your family and neighbors, especially the elderly and physically disabled.
