Due to the Impending Heat Wave effecting our area, the Paterson Office of Emergency Management in conjunction with Paterson’s South Side, 60 Temple St, and Broadway Main Libraries, will be providing water and a place to cool off during this week’s high temperatures.

The heat will reach above 90 degrees, which can be dangerous if the necessary precautions aren’t taken.  Residents may visit any one of the sites and cool off from Tuesday, June 18, 2024, to Friday, June 21, 2024, during regular operating hours of each Library.

All residents, please stay hydrated, wear light clothes, and avoid being outside for long periods of time if possible. DO NOT LEAVE CHILDREN OR PETS IN A CAR; check on the elderly and disabled residents as well.

If the heat is making you feel unwell, please call 911 immediately.
