Severe Weather Alert
The City of Paterson, Office of Emergency Management, would like to inform residents to expect heavy rain, strong to damaging wind gusts, and flash flooding Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning, with periods of heavy wind gusts ranging from 50 to 60 mph.
Storm Rainfall: 2" to 4" likely.
- Do not walk, swim, or drive through flood water.
- Remember, just six inches of moving water can knock you down, and one foot of moving water can sweep your vehicle away.
- Stay off bridges over fast-moving water.
- Follow all traffic warnings and detours.
- Do not drive around barricades or closed-off streets.
- In case of emergency, please call 911 immediately.
