Severe Weather Alert
The City of Paterson, Office of Emergency Management, would like to inform residents to anticipate rain on Sunday evening into early Monday morning, showers continuing overnight, rainfall possibly 1.50 -2.00 inches per hour, and winds could occasionally gust over 50 mph. The heaviest periods of rain occur late Sunday, tapering off after midnight.
- Do not walk, swim, or drive through flood water.
- Remember, just six inches of moving water can knock you down, and one foot of moving water can sweep your vehicle away.
- Stay off bridges over fast-moving water.
- Follow all traffic warnings and detours.
- Do not drive around barricades or closed-off streets.
- In case of emergency, please call 911 immediately.
