PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

Parkland Transfer (known as Overlook Park)

TAKE NOTICE that the City of Paterson has filed a request with the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, Green Acres Program, proposing to transfer ownership of parkland from the City of Paterson to the United States of America, National Park Service. The parkland to be transferred is known as Overlook Park, B4601, Lots 1.01, 1.02, and 2,consists of 3.06 acres and is subject to Green Acres restrictions. The parkland will continue to be protected as parkland in perpetuity after the transfer.

Public comment on this parkland transfer request will be accepted during the public hearing or until SEPTEMBER 30, 2021. On or after OCTOBER 1, 2021, the City of Paterson may take formal action to approve the proposed transfer of parkland, subject to approval of the transfer documents by the Green Acres Program

Pursuant to N.J.A.C. 7:36-25.5(a)3, a hearing to obtain public comment on this request will be held at

Paterson City Hall, 155 Market Street, Fourth Floor Conference Room,

Paterson, NJ on WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 15, 2021 at 7:00 PM.


All information submitted by the City of Paterson to the Green Acres Program in support of this requested parkland transfer is available for public inspection at Paterson City Hall, City Clerk, 3rd Floor, 155 Market Street, Paterson, NJ.
