Aluminum, Tin, Glass and Plastic:
These items can be mixed and must be placed in a re-usable container. Please do not use plastic bags. Each time plastic bags are found in a truck of recyclable material the city is charged an additional fee.

Newspapers must be placed in brown bags or bundled with string.

Cardboard:
Brown corrugated cardboard boxes must be flattened down, tied in bundles and placed curbside on your recycling day. Cardboard cannot be waxed or contain garbage of any kind.

White Goods must be placed out on the curb and called in to the Recycling Office to arrange a pick-up. Refrigerator doors must be removed.

Tires:
Tires must be called into the City Yard at 973-321-3324.
You may also bring your recyclables to the City yard located at
402 East 16th Street and 10th Ave.
Remember, recycling is the law and you may be subject to a $1,000 fine for failure to do so.
