The City of Paterson is one of several governmental agencies throughout the state of New Jersey who have been selected by the New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency (NJHMFA) to participate in the Live Where You Work Program. This special homebuyer incentive program provides low interest 30 or 40-year fixed rate first mortgage loans to homebuyers who work in and who are looking to purchase a home in the City of Paterson.
Appearance of a lender on this list does not constitute an endorsement by the City of Paterson of the lender or its practices or the guarantee of loan approval. Lenders in the LWYW program have met the NJHMFA approved participating lender eligibility criteria. Interest rates, origination fees and guidelines are set by the NJHMFA. The NJHMFA is an agency of the State of New Jersey whose activities are governed by Statute under the direction of a Board of State Officers and appointed private individuals. The New Jersey Attorney General is a Board member and is counsel to the NJHMFA. Participating lenders may charge borrowers an application fee in accordance with the NJHMFA program guidelines.
